Request to Volunteer

The Medication Access Network (MAN) is a collaborative group of Medication Access Advocates (MAA) who volunteer to assist patients, free of charge, with navigating the medication access process.

The Medication Access Advocate Program (MAAP) is a free, one-on-one support service for patients who need assistance with navigating the medication access process and obtaining their medications at an affordable cost.  Our dedicated and knowledgeable team of volunteers that provide support and education on insurance requirements, medication financial assistance, specialty pharmacy process, and much more. These volunteers are also available to answer any questions or concerns that patients may have regarding the medication access process.

Medication Access Advocates (MAAs) are volunteer experts in navigating the medication access journey.

  • MAA Volunteers are paired with individual patients who have requested free assistance with navigating their medication barriers.

  • MAA Volunteers share resources and assist with program promotion by

    • Social Media Posting

    • Spreading awareness throughout the community

    • Dropping off materials to hospitals and offices

MAA Volunteers will receive complimentary access to NAMAPA's Educational Content and have the opportunity to become certified as a Medication Access Coordinator.
